A project brief was proposed by the site security advisor to improve access and site security due to various issues that had taken place. Templeman Design were appointed to provide a feasibility study to assess the existing in accordance with Secure By Design guidelines. In order to illustrate our vision and understanding of the requirements. A written feasibility study complete with 3d visual representations were produced to enable the client and Authority to view what the changes would be and how they would affect the schools appearance. The challenge was to minimise the impact upon a listed site while improving security and controlled access for various users. The proposal rationalised entrance and exit for various users and provided a secure boundary, making improvements to existing deficiencies without impacting upon the aesthetics of the site.  The clear diagrams and rationalisation of guidelines allowed the study to be produced and understood by all within a reasonable time scale resulting in a straight forward understanding and approval process. Templeman Design completed the detailed design following the grant of a listed building application and are currently acting as Contract Administrators for the project which is due for completion in November 2013.

Following the increasing demand for performance arts within Haggerston School, it was decided to review the existing school and establish an appropriate location for a new performance studio. Templeman Design were appointed to review an existing space and establish its appropriateness for conversion taking into consideration acoustic, ventilation and lighting constraints. Two options were proposed, and with the use of 3d visuals allowed the education professionals to swiftly understand and support the proposals.

The successful undertaking of community activities and expansion of the sports programme at the school has resulted in the need to provide an additional Multi Use Games area. Templeman Design were appointed to review the existing site to establish the best location for the new MUGA in accordance with Sport for England Guidelines while maintaining separate controlled access for community users and the school.  Prior to the production of a planning application and detailed design, a 3d visual representation was used to demonstrate to the client and authority what our intensions were. This resulted in a better understanding and swift approval process.
